Topsail Island Piers

 

Topsail Island is a 26 mile long barrier island that is a popular Wilmington area beach destination for locals and vacationers.

Activities abound for all ages. Miles of sandy beaches, several piers, a varieties of dining choices, and of course, water sports of all kinds. Depending on where you live in Wilmington it is a short hop.. From the North side of town we can be there in 30 minutes or less. It is a dog friendly area, so we try to visit as often as we can!

We lived in Greensboro for 2 years and Topsail was our favorite beach.  We loved it.  I think we stayed at the Topsail Motel.  I'm not even sure if it is there anymore.  Right before we moved 10 years ago we were scheduled to stay there but a hurricane changed our plans.

You must be updating something, I saw this Top Sail Island post come up in my inbox and had to check it out again.  I really did love that island!!

Marchel, Topsail Island is a lovely place!  We are blessed with beautiful beaches in NC!  We spent a few hours today on Wrightsville beach which is just 6 miles from our home.

Are you near the water where you live in Texas?

Ginger, we can get to the water in a little over an hour but it is not the same water as what you guys have.  It is not clear at all but it is still fun.  I went to a friends beach house a few weeks ago and got some incredible views of the sunset.  I made a real estate show out of them, I love all the stuff I have learned about on AR.  I will always have fond memories of your North Carolina beaches, especially Top Sail Island.
