Rainy Day Smiles and Puddle Dancing Pup

Woo Hoo!  The Rain came down yesterday in our Wilmington NC Neighborhood!  In the midst of North Carolina's worst drought in history, the rain was a welcome sight.

By late afternoon the sky cleared and was turning a pretty pink.  Bella and I headed out for a walk before dinner and to enjoy the crisp autumn breeze, as the sparkling pink & marshmallow blue sky mirrored in the glisitneing rain puddles.

Bella danced through the puddles, and was so excited to see the rain she just had to have a drink!

We ran into Mr & Mrs StrawPeople across the street and they were also delighted to see the rain! Don't they look happy?

In the midst of the worst drought in North Carolina history, yesterday's rain was  truly "good to the last drop!"

Great news!  It is always good to see rain when you need it that bad.

Nice!  We need rain too....BAD.  I saw where the Governor of GA had a prayer meeting for rain, and then the next day the skies opened up and God answered a prayer.  Maybe if we'd all pray more often these things would happen!

That little rain was nice (we got some too in Virginia)! Are you getting great colors this year???

Charles, No great colors yet..The reds are just turning. With no rain and warm weather, it won't be a good year for foliage.

OH YES IT WAS!!!! We needed that rain. I had a bucket outside....and there are about 7 inches of water in that bucket. IT REALLY RAINED!

Pray for me, please. I've been invited to speak at a church tomorrow. I'm NOT good at this!

God bless you!!

Until recently, NY was pretty dry as well. It was one of the driest summers I can remember. Hot, humid, but very little rain.  But in GA, the problem is extremely urgent.  The irony is that while some areas are flooded, others are as dry as a bone. Climate change is no fun.

Midori, Yes here by the Coast the rains comes and goes very quickly like Florida. Not like the Northest whet It can be dark and drizzly for a whole week. I love the Carolina Blue skies!

Hi Ginger,
Any rain is welcome, isn't it?  Maybe we'll get a little more Thursday & Friday.  I know it's Thanksgiving but as dry as we are, we will be very thankful for rain on Thanksgiving Day!

I have oodles of Poodles and they just love to splash in the rain and especially in puddles and mud.  Poodles+puddles; that's how they were named.  Pudel in German has to do with puddle.

I feel so happy for you.  The drought is more wide spread than I thought.  Yes water is that item that is more precious than gold.  As a child I enjoyed walking in the rain, not here it would be too cold.
